Step 4:Delivery know-how waits

Once in the service area, launch the Uber Driver app from your smartphone and tap the "Departure" button to go online. If you are in silent mode, you will miss the delivery request, so it is easier to notice if you turn it off and turn up the volume. If wi-fi is turned on, it may connect to nearby wi-fi without permission and the radio wave may be difficult to connect, so it may not be possible to place an order, so it is better to turn off wi-fi. When wi-fi is not connected, the screen will display "Cannot connect to the network" and no order will be placed. It seems that it is easier to place an order if Bluetooth is always turned on. The waiting place should be around the station. Delivery staff close to the ordering store will be called preferentially, so it is desirable to wait as close to the store in the target area as possible. The ideal area is where McDonald's, Matsuya, Yoshinoya, Sukiya, Mos Burger, Kentucky, Starbucks, etc. are concentrated. The above chain stores have relatively short delivery distances, and can be delivered efficiently, and sales can be expected to increase. Private stores tend to have long delivery distances of 3km to 5km, and when there are stains, they may fly far away, so be especially careful.

Receive delivery request

When the delivery request arrives, it will be displayed on the screen of the app as shown in the image. (A melody sound will be heard.) If you press the blue package mark, the delivery request will be accepted. The number of minutes displayed is the time required from your current location to the store. Get your request in about 20 seconds. (Since this time required is sloppy, it is better to think about it as a guideline for the distance.) Since the distance traveled to pick up the product is not included in the price, it is better to cancel the request that exceeds about 4 minutes. Let's do it. (You should think that 4 minutes is about 1km) You don't have to accept a delivery request. If you refuse more than three times in a row, you will be asked if you want to go online or offline, asking "Are you still accepting requests?", But don't worry. It is often the case that a delivery request comes in even though the delivery has not been completed. The shorter the waiting time for a delivery request, the more you can earn. Also, if you have just approved the delivery request and there is an immediate delivery request, you will have to deliver the item twice in the same delivery direction by "double picking up" with an additional order from the same store. The fee is one pick-up, and two deliveries will generate an income of about 500 to 600 yen. If you don't want to receive the second pickup, tap the "Reject" button. The green arrow is the pick-up destination, and in the usual area you will be able to know which store you are ordering from.

Head to the store

When you receive a delivery request, you will see the shops where you will pick up the food. You can also check the map in the Uber Driver app, but if you need detailed directions, tap the arrow button at the bottom right of the screen. When you tap the button, the Google Map app will launch and automatically navigate to your destination. When you tap the white part at the bottom of the screen, the location and precautions specified for pickup are described, such as the name of the actual store and the name of the delivery store are different, so be sure to check the store for the first time. If you ignore the precautions such as "Please do not bring the delivery bag into the store", the store will give a bad evaluation and it will be difficult to receive delivery requests from that store, so be careful. In addition, talking loudly while waiting in front of the store, smoking cigarettes, etc. are also bad evaluations. Although it is rare, there are a lot of products and there are requests from two delivery staff. At that time, you may have to wait until the delivery person arrives and press the arrival confirmation button. However, if you have two delivery staff and the previous delivery staff carries the item by yourself, call the support center immediately. You may be charged a delivery fee even though you have not delivered it, so please wait for instructions from the support center not to cancel the delivery.

When you do not know the location of the store / Cancel delivery before receiving the item

If you don't know the location of the store no matter where you look for it, contact us by phone. You can call the store by opening the store details screen and tapping the phone mark to the right of the store name. (Call charges are self-sufficient) Depending on the store, there may be notes such as "Please enter through the back door" or "Please do not bring in a delivery bag", such as the name of the actual store and the name of the delivery store are different. When you enter the store, tell the clerk, "Uber sweets, order number BBC77." If you received a delivery request, but do not wish to deliver it, such as "There was something wrong with this shop" or "The displayed minutes were farther than the time required from your current location to the shop", a red triangle You can cancel by tapping the mark. It is called "Receiving Can" and you can cancel before receiving the item, but you cannot cancel after receiving the item. There is no problem with canceling before receiving the product about 5 times a day (20% of the number of deliveries), but if you do too much, you will receive a warning email, and if it does not improve, your account will be suspended. When you arrive at the store but the store says "it will take some time", ask "how many minutes?" If you are told "about 20 minutes", you can cancel and cancel "I will hand it over to another delivery person".

Receive the item at the store and start delivery

When you receive the food and put it in the delivery bag, if you give a thumbs-down (low rating) to the pickup, it will be difficult to receive orders from that store, so it is better not to give a low rating unless it is too much. Tap the □ button in the "Pick up ordered items" column to make it checked, and slide "→ Start delivery" in the app to the right to start delivery. The delivery address is displayed, and when you press the navigation start button at the bottom right of the screen, the Google Map app will start up and automatically navigate to your destination. The red mark is the delivery destination. At that time, you can choose to walk, bicycle or car, and walking is the shortest route, but there are times when there are stairs and pedestrian crossings. Also, the route is not correct, so let's make a rough guide and aim for the shortest route. Even if you arrive, you may not know your destination. There are occasional misalignments on the orderer's map, so if you don't know, you'll need to search for the address again in another navigation app. However, if you look around in all directions, there are many destinations on the other side, so keep calm and look around. "When delivering alcoholic beverages" There's one more thing to do when delivering liquor with Uber Eats. You need to hand over your smartphone, get a signature on the app, and confirm your age with your ID. (The app will guide you, so you can follow it.) And if you can't confirm that you're over 20 years old, you have to return it to the store instead of discarding it. By the way, the distance to return to the store will be added to the reward. Give the item to the orderer

If you place it in front of the entrance, we will take a photo and send you a message. If you can deliver the food safely, we will evaluate it to the customer and evaluate it, "Uber Eats.
